ZÓRA – One Evening, One Feeling, One Voice

Advent in the Buda Castle Palace District

Zora

“A concert is a kind of meeting where we draw strength from one another. I draw it from the audience, and the audience draws it from the music.”

Zóra Urbányi, a Hungarian American singer and songwriter who has become one of the most exciting artists on the alternative scene in recent years, performed a sold-out concert at Müpa last autumn and opened for Alanis Morissette during the summer. This year is dedicated primarily to creation and new musical directions. The Fonogram Award-winning artist first rose to national attention four years ago with her live reinterpretation of Iszom a Bort.

On the last weekend of Advent, ZÓRA returns to the Castle Garden Bazaar stage with a newly elevated sound, a full band, and special guests Lőrinc Barabás, jazz trumpeter, and Miles Jay, multi-instrumentalist and composer.

Musicians:
Zóra Urbányi – vocals, piano
Lőrinc Barabás – trumpet
Miles Jay – double bass, saz, lyre
Endre Kertész – cello
Ábel Mészáros – guitar
