Pink Floyd developed from a band originally formed in 1964. After that band broke up, several members – guitarist Bob Klose, bassist Roger Waters, drummer Nick Mason and later keyboardist Rick Wright – formed a new band under the name Tea Set. Shortly after their formation, they were joined by Syd Barrett, who would go on to become the band's lead singer and guitarist. The story goes that another band also wished to perform under the name “Tea Set” at an event, so Barrett renamed the band The Pink Floyd Sound. All this happened sixty years ago, and this milestone anniversary will be celebrated in the event hall of the Castle Garden Bazaar. Pink Floyd’s legendary sound will take centre stage for the concert. The performers will select a song from each era, touching upon every album, one that they believe is the most emblematic composition of that particular period – one that everyone will recognize, whether they are Pink Floyd fans or not.
