What happens when Queen’s songs are performed in the language of jazz?
The Budapest Jazz Orchestra answers this question with its concert QUEEN – Real JAZZ. The initially unusual idea was a long-cherished project of jazz drummer Zsolt Madai, brought to life as a large-scale production with the support of artistic director Gábor Kollmann. The rich musical world of Queen – its distinctive melodies, stylistic diversity and refined arrangements – is particularly well suited to interpretation through jazz. Alongside the most iconic hits, the concert also features lesser-known songs, presented in unique arrangements that leave room for improvisation and reinterpretation. The production is both a tribute to Freddie Mercury’s musical genius and an exciting exploration of the connections between genres. Rain date: June 19, 2026, Foundry Courtyard. In case of rain on that day, the concert will be held in the Event Hall. The VIP Panorama ticket includes a HUF 10,000 food and beverage voucher, redeemable on the day of the event during opening hours at the VarjúVár Restaurant. In case of rain, VIP Panorama tickets can be used at the VarjúVár Restaurant within 30 days from the date of the concert.
