Mörk plays soul and funk based music offering listeners a unique musical experience through lyrics written on thought-provoking social and psychological issues and topics of everyday relevance, improvisation and other musical elements.
The by-now Fonogram and Artisjus Award-winning band gave its first concerts in their friends’ living room, a climbing hall and other unconventional venues, the news of which spread quickly in the Budapest underground, and it wasn’t long before the band was introduced to the wider audiences. Mörk has toured the biggest Hungarian clubs and festivals in a row. In addition to their concert opportunities in Hungary, they have also played at numerous international festivals around the world, and conquered the main stage of the Elb Jazz Festival in Hamburg and the Leverkusen Jazztage, the Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen, the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, the Mondo in New York, the Waves Vienna in Vienna, the Tallinn Music Week, the Budapest Showcase Hub and the Spring Break in Poznan.
On this evening, Mörk will take the stage with the members of Nunki Bay Starship. Nunki Bay Starship may be familiar to the wider audiences from popular Hungarian bands. In this project, they will combine their musical talent and inspiration, thereby creating their own special universe. They define their style as an “audiovisual wormhole” – their music combines elements of pop music, neo-soul and jazz, spiced up with psychedelic and R&B details. They created an exciting video clip for their latest song called Summer Camp Memories with the help of artificial intelligence.
