On the first evening of Castle Garden Festival, Jenő Fekete & the Band take to the Foundry Courtyard for a unique evening of joyful music. A pioneer of American folk-inspired styles, Jenő Fekete constantly ventures into new territory while keeping alive the spirit of Mississippi Delta blues, big-city Chicago rhythm and blues, and good old rock and roll. For this special concert, he will be joined by his long-time friend and guest vocalist Tamás Takáts – a legend of Hungarian rock and blues. Expect some classic covers, originals, blues golden-oldies and reimagined favourites.
Accompanists: Gyula Bacsa (piano), Márk Molnár (guitar), Zsolt Szatai (bass), Attila Móré (drums). The night will culminate in a jam session featuring all of the evening’s artists.
