Success requires a genius who, by creating new worlds, bridges genres, a band that brings those worlds to life, and an audience eager to participate in such a special musical journey through the realms of melodies. At the end of August, on a laid-back evening bidding farewell to summer, the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sárközy Trio will bring this exciting crossover concert to life.

The violinist Lajos Sárközy's whole being is permeated by music, where melodies and the logic of music are merely a playful puzzle, and he is one of the few people who are not only well-versed in classical music, but also in jazz and folk music.

On this evening, the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra takes on the challenge of joining Sárközy Lajos's trio on stage, passionately weaving musical tapestries from reinterpretations and free improvisations of classical music pieces. The audience will discover how, within a melody, the sequence of sounds is reshaped by rhythm and harmony, and any melody can serve as the foundation for jazz, folk, or classical music. Join us for a fantastic musical adventure in the Foundry Courtyard of Castle Garden Bazaar.
