What do we sacrifice on the altar of youth? This dance performance for adults by the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble reflects on the great question of our time. Unlike the classic story of Dracula, it is set in a Transylvanian village inhabited by Hungarians and Romanians. A neighbourhood lives in fear of the bloodthirsty vampire, as men fear for their sweethearts and fathers worry for their daughters, all terrified of the mysterious creature who acts like a magnet, drawing enchanted women to himself and sucking away their vitality and their fresh energy. But stolen youth is fleeting, only hunger is eternal...
The fascinating tale of Count Dracula is a magical experience, based on the wonderful world of Transylvanian folk music and the rich and unique virtuosity of the dances of the Transylvanian peoples.
