Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the renovation of the Castle Garden Bazaar with the jubilee cultural season at our VárkertFeszt (“Castle Garden Fest”) arts festival from 31 May to 2 June. The three-day programme series will feature exhilarating family events, electrifying concerts, literary programmes, guided tours, workshops and special gastronomic surprises for young and old in the Castle Garden Bazaar. Explore the complex on the Buda side of the Danube, once one of the world's most endangered monuments, but now a bustling cultural hub again, adorned with a unique Neo-Renaissance garden making it a true gem of Budapest.

Andrea Szulák's name is well-known to theatre and music fans in Hungary. Her performance promises to delight her audience with iconic Hungarian and foreign hits created for a 60-piece orchestra. The Orchestra of the Budapest Philharmonic Society is renowned among music-loving audiences, being ranked among the most significant orchestras in Europe. Dating back to 1853, it was the first symphony orchestra in the country to put on regular concerts. Since its foundation, one of its fundamental objectives has always been to perform the great music of both past and present.

Those who have been to a crossover concert – a concert that combines several musical genres – will know very well how moving it can be to witness numerous outstanding musicians reinterpreting a hit song. Get the summer off to a flying start with this unique musical experience.

Join us in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the Castle Garden Bazaar, the 30th anniversary of Andrea Szulák’s career, and the 170th season of the Budapest Philharmonic Society.
