Through well-known works by renowned French composers, the concert brings to life the iconic films of these two stars, performed jointly by the Prima Award–winning Budapest Jazz Orchestra and the Vivace Chamber Orchestra. The programme’s richness lies in its diverse musical styles, featuring film music by Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Vladimir Cosma, Georges Delerue, Giovanni Fusco, Michel Magne, Gérard Calvi, Claude Bolling, François de Roubaix, Michel Colombier, and other celebrated composers.
The performance is accompanied by projected visuals of the most memorable film moments of Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo, serving as a tribute to the two icons. Over the course of two hours, audiences will hear 25 outstanding film scores from classics such as The Professional, The Sicilian Clan, Le Samouraï, Borsalino, Cartouche, The Black Tulip, The Magnificent One, Ace of Aces, That Man from Rio, and L’Eclisse.
This special journey through time spans from 1960 to 2008, revealing how the style and musical world of French cinema evolved over the decades, alongside the changing screen presence of the two charismatic actors. The high-quality performance is delivered by the 28-member Budapest Jazz–Symphonic Orchestra, formed through the collaboration of the internationally acclaimed Budapest Jazz Orchestra and the Vivace Chamber Orchestra.
