Ferenczi’s 2006 album entitled Petőfi featuring collaborations by Tamás Jutasi and the Rackajam band (now called 1ső Pesti Rackák) has been released in the Hangzó Helikon series. Their goal was to put the famous Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi’s poetry to music in a way that makes those accessible to a wide audience of young people. Recognized as the world’s best harmonica player (1993 Trossingen), Ferenczi has been playing fusion music based on Hungarian folk music and world music with the Rackajam band since 2005. György Ferenczi and the 1ső Pesti Rackák is taking the stage with Hungary’s most innovative big band, the Modern Art Orchestra.
